Over the course of 2025, UN-aligned strengthened its core activities and partnerships. The Gordian was relaunched and resumed its role as a platform for original thinking on peace, human rights, animal welfare and environmental protection. Internship programmes continued through cooperation with Virtual Internships as well as through private placements, giving participants hands-on experience in research, writing and organisational work.

Cooperation with like-minded organisations also progressed. UN-aligned supported FLED by translating its Annual Report into English. Discussions on new partnerships moved forward with Sarala Birla University in India, The Net Green Foundation and the Afghanistan Girls International Online Complex. Meetings have taken place with the latter two organisations and affiliations have been agreed. The UN-aligned Fellowship Programme continued to run and support fellows in developing their projects. Publicity campaigns expanded and social media channels reached wider audiences. Work also began on the first UN-aligned Annual Report to mark the organisation’s tenth anniversary.

Plans for 2026 focus on consolidation and growth. The tenth anniversary Annual Report will be completed and published. Priority will be given to launching the Ambassador Programme. Social media presence will be further strengthened through regular campaigns and targeted outreach. Key publications will be updated, including ‘Unravelling the United Nations’. The International Responsibility Index will be refined, updated and shared more widely. The Gordian’s reach will be extended, with print distribution under consideration. Additional campaigns are planned and recruitment will focus on essential volunteer roles such as Campaigns Manager and Liaison Officer.

If you wish to propose additional points for the agenda, please send them ahead of the meeting.
